Additional requirements exist in order to apply for a Security License
To be eligible for a security officer license you must:
-
be 18 years or older
-
have no recorded conviction for a disqualifying offence within the previous 10 years as listed under the Security Providers Act 1993
-
have no unrecorded finding of guilt for a disqualifying offence within the previous 5 years
-
not be a risk to public safety
-
have successfully completed the required training competencies
-
made the required payment to the relevant licensing authority
-
Have fingerprints taken and checked through Queensland Police
